This is Ivan Gutierrez, a 24 yea-old student from Chihuahua, Mexico. He is currently enrolled at PC and GCC trying to complete a AAS in Digital Media Arts. In his spare time, Ivan enjoys listening to music, walking his dog, and watching Avant Garde films. Ivan is very passionate about movies and one day hopes to become a thought-provoking filmmaker that disrupts the status quo. With this portfolio Ivan hopes to present his journey into online journalism. There is a strong connection between political films and journalism. They both require thorough research and the skills to establish credibility. Ivan is no way interested in pursuing a career in Journalism, partly due to the fact that he believes the mainstream media is a corrupt and there to only serve the elite ruling class. Moreover, Ivan recognizes the importance that journalism holds for providing the masses with truthful information in this overstimulated world.
