A Boo Baskets to Remember
Start the season right by making boo baskets with your family. These delightful baskets are a perfect tradition to make memorable memories this time of year. Ever since student Mya Calles was a kid, making boo baskets has been a tradition. It started with her grandmother, who unfortunately passed away this year, giving out little gifts every Halloween to her relatives.
One of the memories is Mya peeking into her grandmother’s room to see if she was making hers next. Mya always knew which one was hers based on the gadgets she put out.
Sometimes, when the grandmother was not making Mya boo basket, they would both gather around and help make other relatives’ boo baskets. Mya would offer help to organize the candies and decorations.
Her grandmother always gets the orange basket with pumpkins around, topping it off with purple and black tissue paper; sometimes, if she’s feeling fancy, she would throw glitter tissue paper to add more pizzazz.
The grandmother was a very creative person; with a little inspiration from Pinterest and YouTube Shorts, she grabbed the latest Halloween basket and colorful tissue paper at the Dollar Tree. But if she couldn’t find the thing she needed, Amazon was the way to go, especially with great discount deals.
The little ghost gadgets would always bring a smile to Mya’s face, remembering all the little accessories her grandmother bought for each reletive weather it was for kids or adults. She didn’t mind going to multiple stores just to find the right product.
When Mya was a kid, she always enjoyed going to the Dollar Tree or Michaels with her grandmother to get some Halloween decorations. When her grandmother was making the baskets for the female relatives, she would display ghost plushies, and for the males, she put little Halloween-themed toys.
A boo basket is more than just goodies inside, it about the memorable moments with the person you spent time with. Receiving a festive type of gift from others holds a warm feeling, knowing they are thinking about you. Having this memory will hold a special place in Mya heart, filled with laughs and joy when making a boo basket. Although her grandmother is at rest, she will carry on the tradition.
