Author: Ashiyah

Ashiyah is a third-year student at Glendale Community College. She is attending GCC to earn an associate degree in animation and time-based media while working part-time to help pay for school. Although balancing work and school can be time-consuming, she finds it worthwhile.
In her free time, Ashiyah enjoys watching video essays about a variety of topics, including movie franchises, characters, and video games. She also works on small animation projects when she has the time, paints with oil pastels, and occasionally binge-watches old television shows. Her favorite movies and television genres include action, horror, science fiction, drama, and comedy.
Ashiayh’s goal is to become a storyboard artist, someone who turns written scripts into sequential panel drawings that serve as a visual blueprint for films. This class will help her strengthen her visual and textual storytelling skills while learning how to translate complex real-world or written narratives into a structured and accessible format for an audience.
