In my video, my boyfriend and I demonstrate how to carve a pumpkin. At the beginning of the video, I give a short introduction to the audience by explaining what we’re going to do and what materials they’ll need. I directly refer to college students, which are my target audience for this demonstration. I appeal to their needs by sympathizing with the fact that this is a busy time of the year for students. In the next few scenes, I explain the process of carving pumpkins while also providing helpful advice. The scenes following my introduction are included to give the audience a more detailed breakdown of the steps they should take in order to successfully carve a pumpkin; they give my video substance, while also being informative and (hopefully) entertaining. At the end of the video, I restated some of the information in my introduction, while also emphasizing the short amount of time it takes to carve a pumpkin and the affordability of it. In the last scene, I included a blooper kind of ending, with my boyfriend recording me while I show off my final carved pumpkin.
