This is Ian Utter. Ian has been going to Glendale Community College for the past 2 and a half years. This is his 3rd year there. He is going there to get his certificate for the Associate of Arts Emphasis in Journalism and Digital Media program. At some point, he would like to become a sports journalist and go behind the scenes with the players' stats because he is a big sports fan, and he knows a lot about remembering stats and when they were and where they happened. The Journalism 213 class will help him learn how to write a story about the player and their stats that appeals to his audience and how to do it right. This class will also help him with teamwork and collaboration when writing articles, and he hopes that this semester he will have more opportunities to collaborate with his colleagues, which will help him better prepare for sports journalism. In conclusion, this is how his career goals are related to this class.
