College Students Spend Wednesday Evening Getting Silly Tattoos

On October seventh, three female college students went to Pleading Insanity tattoo studio located in downtown Phoenix to meet with an artist known as Lucy Loo. Two of the women, Violet Pomaville and Regan Krogulski, were planning on getting tattoos, while their friend, Abigail (Abby) Estrada, kept them company. The women arrived at the studio at approximately 4p.m.

After arriving, the women made themselves comfortable in the lounge of the studio, admiring the artwork on the walls and the magical lighting that escaped from the lace curtains beside them. Violet was eager to use the TV that was attached to the wall in the corner of the room and immediately turned on a video of her favorite YouTuber, Markiplier, playing a horror game.

The first person to get their tattoo was Regan, who was getting an ornamental blackwork design on her sternum. She rated the pain a seven out of ten.

Before Violet got her tattoo, she discussed the placement of where she wanted it and made some alterations to the design. Violet was planning on getting a set of wings based on a character from a game she played often; she wanted them on her lower back region, also notoriously known as a ‘tramp stamp.’

By the time Violet began getting her tattoo, it was about 8:30 p.m. She claimed that the tattoo hurt a lot, and Lucy confirmed that was because of how much color was used to fill in the wing designs, which consisted of pastel shades of blue, pink, and purple.

By the time Lucy finished tattooing the first wing on Violet’s back, it was about 11 p.m. Regan and Abby had doordashed McDonald’s while continuing to watch Markiplier. Lucy was tired, so she took a break and walked across the street to Circle K to grab an energy drink. In the meantime, Violet joined Abby and Regan as they ate their food. Lucy ended up finishing Violet’s tattoo around 1:30 a.m., and then they left the studio and returned home.

Due to the placement of the tattoos, I have chosen not to include any images of them for the sake of appropriateness.
