In the Arizona desert, the big Saguaro cacti are having a tough time because of the very hot weather. The heat is making them droop and even fall over. These cacti are really old, some even 150 years old. But now, they’re getting sick because of the heat. It’s not just bad for the cacti, but also for the animals that live around them. Birds, bats, and bugs rely on the cacti for food and shelter. If the cacti go away, these animals will have a hard time surviving. The Earth is getting warmer because of things people are doing. If we don’t stop making it hotter, we might see more plants and animals suffering like this. It’s a sad situation that shows why we need to take care of our planet.
