I enjoy the simplicity of this post. You really captured the main details of the app without over-explaining and I really like the pictures you added to compare what can be created in Blender. I agree that Blender is essential for animation. The cover image stands out as well as the title. I was scrolling through all of the posts and this was the first one that caught my eye. Adding that the app is free in bold lettering is also an attention grabber. I would maybe make the link at the bottom stand out a little more like, “To download today visit our website at http://www.blender.org” or maybe make it a bold or a bigger font to make it stand out. As I was reading the first time I scrolled past it. I like how specific you were in the title when you stated that Blender is the essential 3d creation tool. This is helpful for people looking for specific apps meant for 3d modeling. You overall did a great job on the blog post assignment. If I didn’t have Blender already for my animation classes, this ad would be something I would read and look into downloading Blender.
Hi Nicholas! As a blender user, this ad really called out to me. The image that you used for the cover is eye-catching and compelling, it definitely made me want to click on it! Curious to know if that was something that you made yourself or if it was a resource on Blender’s website. I think your title is excellent, It’s snappy, informative, and has the right amount of punch to make you curious to click on it for more. It has a lot of energetic and charged language that bleeds into the reader if that makes sense.
The addition of categories explaining the tool was a good choice, but I feel that the first paragraph of the bridge was a little wordy. It seems to lose some of the energy built up from the title. Shaving the words down to about half would go a long way to cutting out the fat and leaving just the bare essentials that the reader needs to know. That being said, including images showcasing what Blender can do, was a great choice. Images like that charge people’s imagination and make them want to flex their creative muscles. Inspiration can really carry an ad. Great work!
