Great advertisement! The headline is eye-catching and makes the audience want to learn more about what app the ad is talking about. It makes you ask, “what is the best art app out there?” and you end up clicking the ad to read more about it. The bridge kept me reading, but I think it might be a bit too long for others. Though, the general idea and information the bridge is giving is likely to keep people reading if they’re interested in a digital art app that works as a cheap alternative app to Adobe.
I feel like the ending line, “the sky’s the limit for your artwork” could be its own sentence instead of being the end of the last sentence. The image at the top of the page is a little bland, you could’ve used Adobe Illustrator to create a graphic. Or, you could’ve used Krita to create the graphic to show how well it works. The section where it gives information on how to get the app and that it’s free is the selling point for me. It convinced me to get the application since I’ve been wanting to use more free art apps in preparation for when I can’t use Adobe anymore.
Hi Courtney! I’d say that the ad that you made was pretty effective because it made me want to try the app for myself! I think that the bridge that you wrote was very convincing, emphasizing that it’s an alternative to Photoshop and highlighting the price and ease of use. I think you got just the right amount of information down without turning it into an article. There was a bit of repetition in the last line of the first paragraph that could use a bit of tweaking but good messaging overall.
The artwork that you incorporated was a great choice as well! Having compelling artwork in an ad for drawing software always gets you jazzed to start creating yourself, and I think it was a good choice. The one thing that could use more work in my opinion is the title. It seems a little bland when compared with the bridge. It’s serviceable to tell the reader what the ad is about, but I think it lacks a hook that makes you want to click and read more. I’m also curious about the ad’s intended location. Is it a sponsored article, or is it one of the ads on the side of a web page? I think the ad would have benefited from a little more clarity in that respect. Great work overall, though!
Hi Courtney! You did a great job on this advertisement, the images and headline caught my eye. All the information that was provided kept me informed and interested, and being able to use an alternative to Adobe definitely made me want to try the application. Having different pieces of artwork in your advertisement makes it stand out from others, they stand out with the colors and the focus of them. One image shows us the interface and certain tools that are offered. I personally like when advertisements show what they offer and what the product or application can do. Including a website and a community can help people feel more comfortable to use or talk to people who use Krita. It can be hard for artists to find a reliable program to use that has similar functions such as Adobe apps. Overall your ad is very good and everything that needs to be there is there.
Hey Courtney, I have heard of Krita but didn’t realize it was free! This is a really great advertisement, and reading it made me want to look further into Krita. Also, explaining that it can be used as an alternative app to Adobe Illustrator is also a great idea. This is because Adobe Illustrator is incredibly expensive if the user isn’t on a school or business plan. So those who are freelancing or not in school can see this and be informed of this great replacement. I also like that the “where to find the app” section is pushed further than the text above. I don’t know if it was an accident because of the image to the right, but it helps separate the paragraph from the top. Having it separated is very good because the reader will remember the part where to find the app if they want to check it out later. Having the technical help below is also another great feature to implement. The “Visit artist community,” being bolded, is another great idea. It can help ensure the reader finishes reading by capturing their attention. Have a great day, and good work on this. It was really informational!
